Healthy children are happy children

The staff team are working together to ensure that we take a whole setting approach to health and wellbeing, including promoting physical development, nutrition, oral health, emotional wellbeing, and safety.

The benefits of childhood nutrition are enormous; a nutritious diet provides your child with good eating habits for life, healthy skin, a healthy weight and improved behaviour.

We provide healthy and balanced snacks, and currently parents provide a packed lunch.  However from January 2019 we will also be providing home-cooked fresh food for breakfast, lunch and tea.

Our menus have been designed by a paediatric dietician to meet the needs of each age group. They ensure that all of the children receive the recommended daily allowance of protein, carbohydrates, healthy fats and fresh fruit and vegetables. Our recipes are made fresh with whole foods such as whole grain pastas, rice and bread, fruit and vegetables, dark leafy greens and legumes.

We stay away from refined and processed foods. Whole foods provide the children with the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that they need to grow up healthy, happy and strong.

We cater for all allergies, intolerances, preferences, cultural and dietary needs.
